Bolgatty Palace is one Historical monument which is found right in the middle of the city of Kochi. Bolgatty Palace is one of the oldest existing Dutch Palaces or buildings outside Holland.

This Palace was built in 1744 by a Dutch trader who found Kochi interesting. The building was later, in 1909, was leased to the British and served as their residency till 1947.
The Bolgatty Palace is encircled by a nine-hole golf course established in the year 1923. The palace faces straight into the estuary of Vembanattu Kayal / Backwaters and is also very close to the International Marina.

At Present Bolgatty Palace has been renovated and converted in to a resort. Bolgatty Island and the palace can be called as a Honeymooner's Paradise.
